This is a contract position that plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our payroll processes.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the full cycle of payroll operations for our team, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing.
This role requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a strong understanding of payroll processes and regulations.
ResponsibilitiesAs a Contract Payroll Coordinator, your duties will include but are not limited to:
1.
Overseeing the full cycle of payroll processes, including data entry, reconciliation, and payment distribution.
2.
Ensuring all payroll transactions are processed efficiently and accurately.
3.
Collecting, calculating, and entering data to maintain payroll information.
4.
Compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, and non-taxable wages and reporting on this.
5.
Resolving payroll discrepancies and answering employee payroll queries.
6.
Preparing reports for upper management, finance department etc.
7.
Coordinating with HR about changes in payroll (e.
g.
terminations, new hires).
8.
Processing and managing timesheets for employees.
9.
Reviewing and verifying timesheets and consult employees about any discrepancies.
10.
Staying current with federal and state payroll regulations and requirements.
11.
Assisting with internal and external audits by providing necessary payroll records.
QualificationsTo be considered for the Contract Payroll Coordinator position, you should possess the following
Qualifications:
1.
A minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll administration or a similar role.
2.
Proven experience as a payroll coordinator or a similar role in the construction industry is highly desired.
3.
Proficiency in electronic payroll systems and software.
4.
Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals and payroll best practices.
5.
High degree of professionalism and ability to deal sensitively with confidential material.
6.
Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
7.
Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize work.
8.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
9.
Knowledge of federal and state payroll regulations.
10.
Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
11.
Experience with timesheets and an understanding of their impact on payroll.
