Preventative Maintenance Trailer Mechanic (T-A)
Celadon, one of Indiana's fastest growing companies, is looking for a Preventative Maintenance Trailer Mechanic (T-A) in its Maintenance division.
The Trailer Mechanic (T-A) must be an excellent communicator, proactive, analytical, solution-focused, patient and able to juggle multiple projects.
Responsibilities:
Follow all company guidelines and procedures as set forth in your employee and departmental handbooks.
You are required to understand 100% of their content.
Performs all duties as assigned by supervisor.
Attendance standards, NO UN-EXCUSED absences.
Punctuality standards:
In uniform and ready to punch in at scheduled hour.
Displays positive company attitude and cooperation with supervisors, drivers, and co-workers.
Good welding skills.
Full time only.
Must be capable of all items listed for T-B T-B RESPONSIBILITIES Proper hand tools for type of work assigned.
Works in the trailer shop.
Capable of working with wheel seals, bearing replacement, minor welding, brakes, minor accident damage and suspension repairs.
Diagnose and repair minor electrical problems.
Will assist other mechanics in major repair.
Capable of changing tires and following proper tire documentation.
Capable of diagnosing and repairing ABS problems after properly trained.
Capable of diagnosing and repairing trailer tracking after properly trained Will properly document all repairs performed.
Performs job safely, wears proper footwear Maintains clean work area.
Performs assigned jobs within time standards.
Displays positive company attitude and cooperation with supervisors, drivers and co-workers.
Reads and follows instructions on MSDS sheets.
Minimum Requirements Requirements:
High School diploma or GED 1 year mechanic experience preferred Must own their tools ASE Certification a plus Ability to interface effectively with people Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
