SharePoint Administrator

Overview
The SharePoint Administrator is responsible for maintaining, supporting, and building upon our internal SharePoint environment, which includes departmental sites, document libraries, electronic forms, workflows, calendars and related responsibilities. The SharePoint Administrator will focus on needs analysis, design, build and go-live in addition to support for a large Microsoft SharePoint environment. This position will be an expert in Microsoft SharePoint, with a strong working knowledge of the product and ability to engage with end-users to identify goals and desired outcomes from SharePoint environment.
Essential functions

  • Provide second-level and third-level support for all facets of the SharePoint environment, troubleshooting operational issues, including software and hardware.
  • Office 365 SharePoint sites administration / deployment:
  • Deploy custom developed and/or third-party SharePoint Online solution packages
  • Review and monitor storage and usage reports
  • Manage security for sites and sub-sites
  • Manage common site layout structure and design
  • Document SharePoint Online configuration and design
  • Provide SharePoint Online support to end users
  • Take an active role in promoting business value of SharePoint Online
  • Configure SharePoint Online services and settings
  • Support SharePoint form development and management including associated workflows
  • Builds understanding of communications and collaboration technologies within the organization through the creation of self-service options.
  • Conducts necessary routine maintenance including patches and upgrades.
  • Work with information security to ensure that proper monitoring for DLP is in place and that security and information policies across the platform are in place and working as expected.
  • Promotes collaboration technology through employee engagement and emphasis on continual improvement of business processes.
  • The essential functions of this position are to be performed in a Company designated office or field location
  • Understand and comply with the Company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and other industry-specific professional and ethical conduct standards, if applicable.
  • Other duties as assigned

Principal Skills/Qualifications

  • Associates degree in IT related field preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in a role primarily dedicated to SharePoint administration
  • Strong working knowledge of SharePoint
  • Strong working knowledge of ancillary platforms such as Microsoft Office 365, Exchange and Azure
  • Solid knowledge on migrating on premise SharePoint to SharePoint online.
  • Knowledge of third party software (Nintex and Sharegate)
  • Basic working knowledge of infrastructure technologies, including enterprise databases, network security, servers, and storage
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of software development languages and tools to integrate communication and collaboration technologies with other applications and business systems.
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of one or more infrastructure technologies such as database, network, security, server, storage, and workstations.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing and maintaining systems.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
