Business Development Manager

Job Description Overview The Business Development Manager's primary responsibility will be to develop opportunities with new customers, and expand opportunities with existing customers through an integrated marketing and sales effort with our operating groups. This position is flexible and can be located in one of four district offices: Henderson, CO Houston, TX Charlotte, NC Indianapolis, IN This position requires experience within the electrical industry, the ability to recognize market needs and the initiative to develop winning strategies in collaboration with our marketing and operations teams.  The role requires strength in building relationships and effective communications with external clients  and partners as well as internal managers and staff at all levels of the organization.  The Business Development Manager requires experience in a construction related business development role or equivalent. Essential functions Recognize market needs and desires and strategically plan business opportunities Continuously develop and improve strategies for generating work and long lasting client relationships Collaborate and effectively communicate with all members of senior management Maintain a database to record contacts, document opportunities, and manage progress Establish initial contact with appropriate decision makers, within our target client base. Identify prospects where the company has a competitive advantage Oversee a variety of interactions between the company and clients/prospective clients Develop and implement strategies to position the company as the recommended and preferred contractor in the construction industry, specifically to electrical utilities Research and analyze national market activity, emerging opportunities, and geographical trends Other duties as assigned Job Requirements Principal Skills/Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or equivalent experience (5+ years' experience working directly with business owners and owner representatives, experience in electrical infrastructure market a plus ) 5+ years' experience in construction business development, estimating, supervision, or engineering Extensive knowledge of construction markets and business sectors Excellent communication skills to include verbal and written The ability to lead the effort in highly professional proposals and presentations Strong marketing skills with the ability to sell and deliver

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
